Literature Text

Holding my breath tight
Struggling to keep up the fight
Losing air in this underwater prison
Down into the darkness I go

Lights fading, my mind is detached
memories come in a flood upon me
Grasping on to what little is left
My life slipping slowly away

My past forgotten, future ahead
Just a few more seconds, I'll be dead
Just wanting to right my wrongs
Wishing I could see the new dawn
The light is leaving my life and only one flame will light it anew. Love.

I really like this one.
It's about to tell the story of a life without actually telling one
..or being that long. :)

Oh, and in the line "My past forgotten, future ahead."
Did you mean "no future ahead"?
..because to me that would have make a lot more sense
for where this poem went and with the hole "I'll be dead" line.
